We aimed to create a simple, straightforward tool to measure work-related strengths.
Influences on Development:
The initial Strengthscope® model drew inspiration from various sources, including Gardner’s multiple intelligences, the Big 5 personality factors, MBTI’s concept of ‘preference,’ and strengths research.
Ongoing Research and Validation:
Continuous research and validation, including independent studies by institutions like City University, have been integral to Strengthscope®'s development.
Reliability:
Our data shows that Strengthscope® consistently measures strengths over time. This means individuals are likely to report similar profiles even if they retake the assessment months or years later.
Strengthscope® is also consistent in measuring each strength, ensuring that the profile accurately reflects the person completing the questionnaire.
Independence of Strengths:
Each strength in the model is independent of the others. For example, someone with a Compassion strength may not necessarily report an Empathy strength, and vice versa. This independence highlights the importance of exploring each person’s unique strengths rather than assuming they come in ‘bundles.’
Uniqueness of Profiles:
The probability of having the same Significant 7 strengths in any order is 1 in 346,000. This demonstrates the unique ways individuals use their strengths in approaching tasks and relationships.
