The 5 As Framework stands for:

Aspirations

Clarifying what you want to achieve with your performance and development and how these relate to the organisation's vision and goals.

Awareness

Discovering your strengths, skills and experience and how to match these with the organisation’s goals and changing needs as closely as possible. Involves finding new opportunities to help you develop your strengths and success.

Action

Developing strengths and building a support network that helps you perform as well as possible and moves you closer to your aspirations. Involves minimizing performance risks and identifying ‘stretch’ opportunities to learn and grow.

Agile

Learning how to be more flexible in the way you apply strengths, skills and experience across changing work situations. Adapting goals, work approach and relationships to the fast-changing work environment.

Achievement

Sticking to your goals and taking stock of what you have achieved, learning from both successes and setbacks. Learning about how to remove things that are getting in the way of success and strengthening things that help you succeed.
